I was resizing some 221 fireball brass down to 20 Vartarg and I was getting small dents in the shoulders of some of brass after running it through the die. Does this normally happen or am I doing something wrong? Are these still OK to use?
Thanks,
Mark

too much lube.

Run a few dry ones through to use up the excess

every few cases, run a dry one through to avoid lube build up

If its not too bad, dont worry, but if its major dents, throw it away

Looking back, I cannot believe the mess and general fuss I went through before Imperial. I'd pay three times a much for the stuff.

Is this not a bad idea?? Although I've never tried this it seems if it was done this way, the OP's next thread will be how to remove a stuck case.

I have done it hundreds of times. ? Not sure what the worry is about. You think it will get stuck? Have you ever heard of a case getting stuck?

Yes. The last one was a lowly 30-30 case, which I didn't think would ever stick.
Quite a chore to get them out.
