I want to make somes reloads for my Garand in 30-06. I dont have h4895 on hand but i look at hogdon data and the h335 is listed with 150gr bullet. Can this powder can work good with the gas system of a Garand? reliably and without being hard on the op rod? I want to use my h335 so might be good for the 30-06. Any advices or experiments? Thx:)

Good choice, it works well, it is about the right speed. (I loaded up a bunch of ammo with and H335-lookalike powder and 150 grain bullets, they work nicely).

The newest Hornady manual lists 36.5 as a starting load with 335 for an M1 garand, with 150gr bullet. FS

H335 or BL-C2 for 30-06?

The newest Hornady manual lists 36.5 as a starting load with 335 for an M1 garand, with 150gr bullet. FS

Hogdon starting load with h335 for nosler 150gr is 47 gr and 42500cup pressure. I have sierra 150 fmj bt bullet. Hogdon data are realist?
I also consider using hogdon BL-c(2) since i will use for .308 loading for my norc m305b when i receive it in june so if i could stick to 1 powder for the 30-06 and 308. For 150gr bullet, hogdon list 49gr of bl-c2 as a starting load with 39700cup pressure. Can this powder can also be a good choice for the Garand? The bl-c2 is slower than the h335, so again any good advices? Thx

You'd probably get away with using BL-C(2), even though it is slightly too slow.

For the Garand's gas system, you want to choose bullet/powder combinations such that the charge weight of the powder at max pressure is no more than 50 or 51 grains.

You might also consider using H335 for both your Garand and M305.
