ar15 safety help!?

i got a new safety to replace the ugly one on my norc cq5.56.... only problem is after taking off the grip remiving the spring and detent and removing the other half of the ambi safety the main part of the safety wont come off

truth be told i got an INCREDIBLE deal on this AR so im not too concerned that i can swap out the safety
