The SCAR

The SCAR 17 is very light weight but the Bolt carrier group is massive - i will wait for some actual fielding before jumping on it.

Hunting deer with the Tavor is frowned upon cause of the whole .223 issue; coyote's, ground hogs sure, but deer? Not really ;) But I can justify the Scar 17LB to my wife because its a .308!!!

The .223 issue for deer. Which one? The one where people can't hit where they aim or the one where they can't get within 100m of the deer before shooting?

Well when in the hell is that thing even going to make it into the country?

There are WAY too many .223 pea shooters.... WE NEED .308!!!!

Ever watch those archery videos on Youtube where the guts are oozing out of the 2" hole from where the broadhead missed the kill zone... and the thing slowly stumbles along as the lazy ass archers ponder if they should let it sit there and die for 1 ...or 4 hours cause they dont want to chase it into the forest? If the .308 isnt out by the fall, Im fine for deer cause I got 10 round mags for my Tavor...or boring old 12 gauge slugs for those 200 meter shots.

:cool:Annnyway... Green tips is right, these things are kind of heavy. But I would still like one in a .308 with a non restricted barrel, since I'm blind and incompetent.

I would realy be interested for a 18.5 but chambered in .308... I have a good selection of .223 rifles.... but then again... there is no sutch thing as to many guns..... Just a wife to convince.... or bribe

7.62 x 51 non-restricted nirvana could be close. The SCAR 17S should be able to use the 20" barrel that is on the SCAR 17 LB. Assuming the SCAR series gets into Canada (Mark at Questar, your efforts are commendable) then rebarreling the 17S from the 16.25" to the 20" would make it non-restricted. (Mark....hint hint...when the 17S is available maybe you could order them from the factory with 20" LB barrels. I'll take three in black.)
