m14 upgrading, adjustable gas pressure?

I have a idea for a FN FAL setup. As soonest I get the m305b ill take it apart and start working on it.

If it works out, and my test results match the required quality, ill send it out to a few trusted m14 experts for testing. I can probably make 20-30 kits. If anyone would be interested in one, like the FN FAL or something that can be adjusted on the go, no tools, just a nob, turn it left or right and adjust the gas let me know. If I do end up making them, they will be CNC, and made out of matching grade material to account for the heat expansion. Cost would be $100-150.

Careful you don't go and get all of our M14's banned:p
would be a very neat Mod. keep us posted please.

Yes very neat indeed. We need more canadians making quality accessories and parts.

And why would you feel that an adjustable gas plug would put the m14s/m305 on a ban list??

I have a pretty neat idea for an adjustable gas plug. Once I get my lathe, I am gonna try it out as well. Very simple setup.....

The brass didn't want the T97's in canada but the cfc issued FRT#'s and approval for import was given.
So they were purchased, shipped across the world and when they landed, they got seized. A taxpayer funded set up of 2 reputable and thriving firearms importer/retailers.
So I'm thinkin... If there was a large concern over the m305, the brass would give the nod to play the same taxpayer funded games with said importers of the m305.
Let's only hope that those who willfully use taxpayer money to screw with reputable businesses does not continue

Is anyone making or selling USGI spec gas cylinders (original or repro) that are now readily available in Canada? I know a number of folks with out of spec chicom gas tubes who would love to upgrade...

i know of one fellow who is working on match pistons but can't comment on progress cuz i don't know hehehe
i'm thinking gas cylinder wouldn't be too far down the road either.
I've ordered a gas cylinder from 7.62 firearms and we'll see if she gets here.
