Think outside the box. My PS90 came with a 16" barrel, but she looks an awful lot like 10" now.

Gunsmiths need love.

Cutting a barrel on a gas-operated gun is the last thing I'd do, to top that it's a $3000+ gun. So far there are no after-market drop-ins and FN doesn't sell their other barrels to the public.

There is no way I will ditch the original FN hammer forged barrel for a lower grade barrel! To hell even if it is non-restricted.

I will pick the original FN 13.8"

Good point. One of the most important parts of a service rifle is the barrel itself. Swapping one out for some commercial type is makes owning a gun like the SCAR kind of pointless. If you're shallow like that and just into looks and just want an outdoor plinker get an SKS and tapco#### it with an M4 stock and some very low-end Crappy Tire "optics".

Another cool-factor is being able to own one in the same configuration as it is issued to the military.

I didn't realize how many members here are in need of full "milspec" kit, since they are "shooting out" out there barrels at the range. Yes don't comprise on a sub standard barrel.
The FNC barrel is rated for 30,000 rds, I'm sure that would only last a year for most folks, so a barrel with a 10,000 rd life would be a waste of money.

I don't care what it has for a barrel as long as it shoots under 6" groups at 20 yards. I usually mount the scope backwards to simulate distance anyway.

I would, and am likely to get on the order list for the 16S anyways, it wuold be nice to have a NR conversion available for coyotes etc.....accurate to 200yds would be fine for me and that purpose. I'm not after 2 legged submoa midgets anyways...to hard to get tags for.

I've been trying to preorder, but this damn computer out here won't bring up the shopping page at questar or let me log in...I have to wait until I get home or to a better internet provider service than this damn satellite.

I was hoping to attract the folks that pre-ordered?

If I get a SCAR, I want 10.5 and 13.8 - HAMMER FORGED barrel.

OK we can't do a Form 1, or SBR like the US can, we need another barrel. The SCAR was designed to use different length barrels, the gas port doesn't move, thats why they can SBR the barrels in the US without any issues. Its my understanding with little loss of accuracy.

Cqc

I have one on preorder. I want a 10.5 as well as the 13.8. Will glady swap out the 16" broom handle! Questar was contemplating getting after market barrels done? Sure hope so......

I want a short barrel (10.4 and 14.5) for me HK MR223 too!!!!!!!

I say,"the shorter,the better"..........wife doesn`t agree though?

I'm with Greentips on this one. I could care less what length barrel it has as long as it is a proper FN manufactured one.

Just get FN belgium to ship some barrels over, with the work it takes to take the barrrel extension and the lock nut off.

I wouldnt switch unless its a factory barrel ie: quality.
