I just tried out my 870 and it ran flawlessly for the 100+ rounds that I shot. Remember when Earl took my six shot side saddle off because my new forend was too long? Well all we did was put the screws back in after taking the side saddle off and that must have been what caused my issues during the shotgun portion. Maybe looseness in the receiver? Now that I put a 4 shot saddle on so the new forend would work(didn't feel like pulling a bubba with the dremel on the forend) the ejection problems are gone. The only difference would be that the receiver is a little tighter on either side due to the screws being tightened instead of just sitting loose.
Anyway what I am getting at is I figure if the shotgun didn't run into this problem I would have shaved around 130 secs off my score. That would put me in first place!

LOL..No joke. I have been practicing....now I hold on to the pistol grip as Earl told me. Keep the butt pressed against against me and use the other hand to load the shells.

Sorry man! If we had the pins I would have thrown them in. It was probably slop in the trigger mech that caused the issues.

I like to think it was more a case of the old poly-core ammo or the way I was shooting it than the gun. lol
In the time I've had it, I've run lots of stuff through it, including birdshot and low recoil LE ammo. Never had a problem until the match.
Maybe it was when my hood fell over my face and I couldn't see through the rds but kept shooting anyway......
I have more LE buckshot to try, and I'm working on getting some slugs. Only problem is if I can get them, I av to buy by the thousand.
I heard Belleville CT might be getting into used guns as well. Maybe you could trade it in for a a working shotgun, like, say a Mossberg.

There is a reason why there are almost no aftermarket parts available for Mossbergs. They're perfect from the start.

Uh, if I read correctly, Geoff's Mossberg ran flawless, did it not, take my advise like you did when you bought the Glock, get a Mossberg...............?
