It's already for sale in US, but it is over $2000. Does it worth the money?

Retail is closer to three grand. Who knows what astronomical price it will be on our side of the border. I don't think its worth it. Hopefully the big '4' modular carbines will hammer each other down in price. (XCR, SCAR, ACR, FN2000)

If I were to go out today and buy a carbine system in 5.56x45/.223 it would likely be a swiss arms non res. I -know- it's quality.

just my two bits

I opted for the Tavor. I'll sit out for the the SCAR, ACR race.
If the Beretta ARX160 ever comes out in non restricted than I'll have to rethink it providing the price isn't ridiculous. Considering how quiet it's been about this rifle there is a chance it might be reasonable. Less hype more performance. The CZ-805 also comes to mind.

I cant speak from personal experience but if you want a really good explantion of both and opinions of guys who are industry experts and seriously know what they are talking about hit up Light Fighter...

Basically what I have heard from there is Bushmaster= not well thought out or put togeather and the SCAR is a serious tac- driver... just what ive heard

I have to agree with you Epoxy, the Tavor is pretty near the top of my list. Beretta and CZ, well... not so much but that's just me :D.

Likely some growing pains ahead of the SCAR & ACR. I also can't escape the feeling that they are sad shadows of the XM8...

I was referring to the black special/classic green. I suppose they are not technically a carbine due to them being the "fullsize" variation of the rifle. I would throw them up against any of the above, though.
Figured that's what you meant, wasn't clear in your post and wanted to make sure someone didn't get the wrong idea ;). The non-restricted is definitely not in any way a carbine... agreed they are a superior piece of equipment though!
Cheers

Acr

I have an ACR due at the gun shop next week. I hope it will prove to be worth the price. I bought it more because of pent up interest (I have been following its development since it was called the Masada). However, I doubt that my early production ACR could even remotely be called a bargain.
