Is he firing an M67 grenade?

There was a Belgian company "invented" a "new type" of grenade launcher back in the '70s and this could be it.

The "invention" just happened to be a copy of the COSTEN Grenade Discharger Cup which was mass-produced for the British Army in World War I and used with the Number 5, Number 6, Number 23, Number 36 and Number 36M Mills Bombs.

This is just the same; notice the adjustable gas bleed ring at the base of the cup; that's how you adjust the range on the thing.

Nuthin' new under the Sun.

Those who do not know history are condemned to repeat it. On the other hand, those who do know history sometimes can make a fortune by stealing from it and not giving credit where it is due.

looks like a rubber bodied tear gas grenade... Israeli?? Those grenades bouce around when they hit the ground and are very difficult to catch and throw back before the gas is expended... Plus they are supposed to cause less damage to rioters noggins...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

You guys are assuming he's launching that grenade... My guess is that he has that expression on his face because he's actually catching the grenade.

Informed guess... Rifle grenade launcher for old style gas grenade. The grenade is not a standard C13/M67.

I'm pretty sure it is either a Jet-lite (gas) or a stingball (rubber pellet) anti-riot grenade.

The attachment is a variant of a cup launcher.

It's my patented toilet plunging system. Insert business end into plugged toilet, pull trigger, let the awesome begin!
