I was at Gander Mountain on Friday and noticed they were selling Wolf MT for $7.95 for a box. If the SK is the same stuff, sounds like its marginally cheaper to buy it right from Hirsch.

If you buy volume,it is considerably cheaper to buy from Hirsch.The Standard Plus is only $495 per 5000 which works out to $4.95 per box.
 
Wolf MT is $47.99 per brick at Cabelas.

Most Lapua stuff is very close to the same price in Canada as it is in the US.
 
Does that stuff work well on gophers or just for competition/target.

It will kill gophers fine with head shots,but it isn't as effective as hollow points with body shots.I am going to be using the 17Mach2 for most of my own gopher hunting.

Have you tried the SK Hollow points? I see they list some but am wondering if they worlds better then Win 333 or Fed bulk hp's. Ive produced some solid groups with that cheap stuff and it splits gophers up pretty fine.

I have never tried the hollowpoints,the shipping is too costly to order small amounts to test.I was fortunate enough to be given half a box of the Standard Plus to test by a friend,and when it worked so well in my Cooper,I ordered 5000.
