I got one coming in 223. If it shoots as well as my SPS Tactical did, I'll be happy!
........... Now talking to people more knowledgable than me I figure I'll have to change out my scope and go with a 15-20 MOA base if I plan to do some longer range shooting which I'd like to try.
I figured to get the trigger lightened, break in the barrel and then to see how it shoots. If it isn't what I expect I'll get it skim bedded and try it again. If I'm still not happy I figure to have the action blueprinted and see how that does.
I figure if it shoots 1 MOA with factory that will be all I can expect until I take the plunge and start reloading. I've bought a couple hundred rounds of different ammo to see what it prefers until then.
Couple questions I do have. Since it only has a 20" barrel can a load be worked up to shoot 1000 yards or will I need a longer barrel? Figure to keep everything inside 600 this year, probably closerShould I set it up with a pod or just bag it. If a pod which one? I was thinking a harris swivel 6-9". I did think just to go with a 12-25" for more versatility and just bag that when I needed prone. Any and all recommendations, suggestions or opinions welcome. Thanks
Anyone with first hand knowledge of this rifle?
Accuracy out of the box or modifications you have made to your existing one.
Thanks in advance.
The XCR tactical compact is basically an LTR with a different finish, slightly different stock, and better trigger.
Scottm... is that an Eagle Ind. Shooter's Stock Pack? I was thinking about getting either that or the Karsten. Do you find you need it on the XCR CT? Where did you order yours from?? Thanks
Give us a range report when you do!
