whats a good choice for a polymer framed pistol in 45acp with a 10 round cap.

I would say the Springfield XD. I had one, and it shot great, can't remember why I sold it? That happens to me a lot, guess I never really own a gun, just rent them for awhile.

Small to large sized hands? The M&P45.

Large to extra-large sized hands? The M&P45.


FYI, the unrestricted M&P capacity is ten. The unrestricted XD capacity is fourteen. By comparison to the 4.5" barreled M&P45, the size of the 5" barreled XD-45ACP Tactical is huge.

P.S.: There is good warranty support for S&W in Canada, and virtually none for the XD.
 
Depends on hand size and personal fit/preference...but I love my HK USP Tactical. Other options include USP Compact Tactical if you want a smaller handgun, or the Mark 23 if you want something bigger. The standard USP 45 is also a great polymer option. I also really like my Springfield XD and it is a better option if price is a consideration...HK's tend to be a little more pricey.

Not sure what virtually none means, either there is or there isn't..

and talking to Springfield directly, there is warranty for their products here in Canada,,,,,,then again, I have had my XD for years now, and have had no issues and no need for any warranty claims thus far.
 
Im going to buy the M&P45 or the glock21 ... the M&P is better looking but the glock might be a better pistol any thoughts?? the HK and SIG are not in my budget

Virtually none means that you were told there was, but - when I needed it - I couldn't get any.

Ergo, virtually none.

Get back to us after you've had some service done.

Perhaps, you can elaborate as to why you didn't get any ?

Instead of waiting for mine to require service, and telling you how I did or did not get it, I don't see why there would be a problem in getting any if they stand behind their product. Of all the times I have had issues (not with the gun issues so far as mentioned before), questions, or anything else, even a simple question via email, all were handled exceptionally well, and always resolved my questions, or requirements.

Sorry your experience was not so good.
 
Emails cross the border freely without too much intereference, pistols - not so much. A Smith won't have to leave BC to get warranty work in the unlikely event that it needs it.

As far as the S&W M&P / Glock 21 thing goes, the original G21 is worse than holding a 2x4 (fr*ggin huge), the G21SF is like holding a 2x4, the M&P is like, well, holding any other M&P.

Um, having RNicholls as your distributor explains 100% of the problem. Having RNicholls as your distributor is a guarantee of failure, in my experience. They are pretty much the definition of 'virtually no service'
