Just one question have you taken this to the range yet? The set up looks
way to off centered, Please don't take this the wrong way I am just asking these questions cause I have been thinking of doing the same soon. Can you get a good cheek weld does it feel confertable or do you find yourself having to strain to to see through the scope?

I just ordered a 6X D-model POSP from Eastlink. Same scopes as Teapot sells, but I'm in Ottawa and so is Eastlink and I like supporting the few local outfits we have left in LIEberal Morontario.
The Kasat mount does offset the scope quite a lot, but to get it more centered you need to use a shell deflector.
This is what I plan on doing. I'm either going machine a new rail mount that I can drill and tap to the receiver, or alternately, I might see if I can get the factory rail pinned to the receiver to hold it in place and then weld it on permanently.
Yes, this will require a shell deflector. I'm told NEA is coming out with a polymer one that will clamp to a scope tube which is fine if it comes out in time, if not, I'mm make something up form steel sheet.

Why it's so desirable to have the scope centered? For right hand shooters it's more convenient to have scope offset to the left, and shells don't hit the scope. I was looking at artillery guns and they have their sights waaay of center...

And by the way its not the same scope, mine is a variable 2-6x magnification where as one form Easwave (not eastlink lol) is not. I went with someone who supports these forums which have been very helpful to me.
You're right, it' East Wave. And I agree teapot is a great guy. I only went with the Ottawa company because I live in Ottawa. The 2-6 is available from both companies as they both import the same brand of scopes.
What steered me away from the variable power is I'm not sure how the rangefinder works if the scope is not fixed power? The reticle is etched on a piece of glass inside the scope and doesn't itself magnify in and out wen the magnification is adjusted at the back of the scope. I suspect the RF is only accurate at one magnification setting - probably at 6X. Maybe I'm wrong, but this is why I didn't go with the variable scope. I also opted for the D model so I can adjust the diopter to my eyesight. these days I have to wear prescription glasses to shoot

Just put a 6x24 POSP on my Norc SKS with ATI Dragunov stock. I think it is perfect with the scope a bit to the left, still can use my iron sights for sighting in and confirmation, I think that's a big plus. In addition, it is the cheapest way to have an extremly cool looking rifle at a discount price.
