Any reviews on the Savage Mark II in 17Mach2?I am looking at an extra gun for some visitors to use this summer on a gopher hunt.I don't have enough guns to go around,and for about $200,an extra one would come in handy.
 
the only problem I've had with mine is the odd hang up when feeding the shells in and I started a thread to see if there's a fix but great shooters in both .17 & .22
 
I bought one a month or two ago, a GV model, bullbarrel, VERY accurate, only drawback is that the trigger isn't great, I removed creep with a shim, but it's still heavy.
No Accutrigger on the one I got.
 
You can shim the rear of the trigger assembly with some brass shims it will improve the trigger some.see trigger shim sticky at rimfirecentral in the savage section.

i'll get your range review next week when i get my savage mach2 in the mail :D unless someone beats me to it!

i heard good things about this rifle, it's not a $2000 rimfire, but i have seen these $200 rimfire rifles do just fine.

check out some vids on youtube, you'll be impressed.
 
it won't break the bank rusty! $219 shipped! ship it to one of your friends and then pick it up yourself. bring it home when she's either out of the house, or when she's sleeping - this is what I do :) it works. now that i am starting to build a collection it's getting easier to hide a new purchase!!.

if i knew how fun rimfire rifles are, i would have never bought soo many handguns. so much cheaper, and a lot more fun.
