I guess I had to join the rest of you so I finally had a chance to test out my new Stevens 200 in .223. I threw together 20 rounds of 55 gr v-max in front of 25 gr. of IMR4895 and went to the range to sight in and plink a bit. After I got things on target I settled in fired one group of three then another. ( 100 yds )
The only reason the groups are apart is I adjusted the scope a tad after the first one. If this is what this gun does before I even get to playing with loads I am more than impressed. The gun was out of the box with a low end Bushnell. The trigger broke clean but was a bit stiff and the stock ( well you all know ). I can only imagine what a trigger upgrade will do but for me I think I'll leave it as is because it shoots better than I can. Looks like I have a new go to yote gun
