Waaay out west.
So when are these things coming in? One of our resident VZ 58 parts manufacturers hinted at complete rifles coming in.

Another parts manufacturer posted a cool pic of a short barrel....

But I can't get any info on specs, prices, etc...despite sending PM's..:(

So who's got the inside track? I want one of these things, I just want to know specs, retailers, prices....let the rumor mill begin.:D
 
If you're thinking of the ones Marstar was talking about, never.

They got F'd in the A over a batch of Hermex VZs. I think they had a container load get reclassified as converted autos. They are no longer importing them and as John has stated on multiple occasions they have no plans to import any more for the forseeable future.

No, not talking about Marstar. Suprathepeg posted recently that one or more retailers will be bringing in a short barreled 58. Neit Arms posted a photo of a factory short barrel.
 
They are in the works. There is no firm timeline that I can provide. There is a couple obvious issues with the program that we're looking at addressing; barrels or complete guns being one. It's not a project we want to rush or jump into with out looking at all angles beforehand.

Our main objective is to ensure that we can provide a dependable, safe and legal product.

Good to know. I'd prefer a complete gun. Perhaps you should guage interest with a poll...when you are ready.

Maybe we could get the doctor to take some pic's of this bad boy in action for us. As I am just curious on how big that muzzle flash will be.
 
is there not someone out there with a manufacturing licence and could make the 9" barrels required for this kind of project?
dlask manufactures barrels has anyone approached them with this idea?
could be a very fruitful vensure for the company who does this first, or how about questar they either make or have had barrels made with there name on em!
make a poll and let them see the interest.
plain barrel and being pressed it should keep cost down. install and paint yourself.

I'd be happy with the above. Anything shorter would require mods to the gas block, piston, front and rear sights, etc (may have to be part of the gas block). Not to mention oodles of testing to make sure it functions properly.

It's a significantly more difficult project. Don't get me wrong, I'd pay through the nose for one if I could get it though. ;)
