The snipers are 1/10 twist give me a classic green 1/7 twist any day over the sniper.
I thought the sniper version would be a 1/7 twist ... why would they make it a 1/10?

1 in 7" twist is a NATO thing. The Swiss use GP90 ammo and it is optimized in a 1 in 10" twist barrel.
I had a black special and it was just a piece of s**t. I couldn't hit anything with it past 25 yards. I put a bushnell scope on it and the same thing. I took it back to the gunshop I bought it from and they did not seem to really care. I sold it and 3 days later the guy who bought it wanted his money back. My AR, which I built from parts, is a tac driver. Go figure.
Sniper is essentially unobtanium. There are ~11 in Canada and they are no longer in production. There is one on the EE right now for like $11k(ish).

12 with mine. But it's not an "official" Canadian SIG Sniper. Same parts though.
I even aquired the Parker Hale SIG Sniper Bi-pod & mirage band - both that never came with the Canadian versions.
Very nice! Where did you manage to get the Bipod? Do you need a different handguard to mount the bipod or was that bipod designed to work with the regular handguard.

I'd love to see a range report for one of these.
No you don't. It'll make you want to buy one!
I'd like to know if we can just rebarrel our existing rifles with the heavy barrel? Where could I get one of those grips to boot?
Cheaper than a new Rhino brother.
few guys have rebarrelled theirs to 1:7. They'll chime in eventually.
I saw the grip, or a very similar grip, online here but can't remember the site. Germans, and priced like Germans though. Still, damned nice kit!
I'm in the process of getting a Nill grip and it is a process. You have to fill out a End user cert, send it to them, get permission from the German gov and then they send it to you. It looks fabulous though. I'll let you know what I think when I get it installed.
