Wow it sucks!!! I just got a 9mm ranger 2 and I'm sooo disapointed, the gun feels mushy. Anybody else tried it? I also had a lot of failures to eject with winchester 115 gr stuff. It feels like the spring isnt strong enough to bring the slide back to full battery. I'm going to try a regular guide rod and spring. If thats no good, its going up for sale...

Take it back in for some warranty work.

I've shot a Ranger II in .40 and it's an amazing gun. And I know that nothing was done to it before being put out in the rental pool at my local Rent-A-Gun range. So I can only assume that yours has an issue with it that should be correctable.

The light model takes some getting used to...

You probably have the light RecoilMaster. You could also try the heavy model...and you might find that you prefer that.

Either way, please update this thread when you've tried the changes.

I had the .40 tactical model with the recoil master on it. I never had any problems with that one.

All the problems occured with 115gr AE bullets, when I shot +P 147g HP stuff it worked flawless. I ordered a stainless guide rod and spring. I should get it by the end of next week.
Keep you posted or look for it soon on EE...
