That is a good price for a tractor gun, even here in the states. You may consider a crown job for the front end..looks a little beat up. I'd buy it.

I was considering getting one for my Dad. I only have had experience with its "son", the M14, and the M1 actions are well made, simple, reliable and accurate. My Norc M14 is the most accurate rifle with iron sights that I have...

I would think that if anyone tells you that its not a deal are looking at getting it for themselves:) Buy the darn thing.

The IHCs are very collectable and were made in less quantity than production by the other 3 US manufacturers. One of the best things about them is the very accurate LMR barrels that they were fitted with at time of manufacture. At various times in IHC production they were provided with receivers by both Springfield Armory and Harrington & Richardson.

coldcashandcolderhearts - you must not shoot that rifle, it looks dangerous, heck in its day it may have even been fired in anger ! Being the gentleman that I am I will take it off you for the price you paid and dispose of it safely :)

Enjoy your new aquisition !!
