shadow vs sp01 whats the diff

Getting one or the other today, besides the sights whats the diff?

Out-of-the-box, besides the lower-profile tritium sights, the SP-01 Tactical has a lanyard loop, a smaller manual safety, and a heavier trigger.

If you would be competitive, buy the Shadow.

Shadow:
Target rear sight (fixed)
Fiber optic front
Extended mag release
Larger safety
Lighter trigger
No firing pin safety

Probably more but that's all that I can think of.

bought the shadow, the trigger on the sp 01 is not even close.

Differences:

Sights - the Shadow has Competition Rear Sight and FO front. SP-01 has three Dot on most. Some come with night sights.

Mag Release - Same on both guns and are reversable

Trigger - The Shadow trigger has less curl to it and is adjustable. It is silver the SP-01 is black

Hammer - The Shadows hammer hooks are cut differently reducing trigger creep. Hammer break is crisper

Safety - Larger and repositioned safety on the Shadow

Frame - The Shadows frame is cut deeper under the trigger guard and under the Beavertail. Both cuts allow for a slightly higher hold on the gun

Lanyard Loop - The SP-01 cmoes with a Lanyard loop ring. The Shadow doesn't

Firing Pin Block - The Shadow doesn't have one.

Just for those two items I would recommend the shadow over the sp01 unless you can find a heck of deal on an sp01 as most of the other parts are easily changeable over to the sp01. The 'shadow' rear sight will not fit however as it has to be cut to fit.

If you search around I think there are pictures showing the differences in the frames.

held both, dry fired them, bought shadow.
