I was wondering how long ago the SBE1 came out? What has changed from the #1 and #2 gun? What would a #1 be worth right now?

II is much nicer to handle.
Upgrades the II has are
Bigger trigger well
Better tube assembly in the stock that is very low maintenance
New chokes
Crio barrel
Doesn't sound like much, and new the I's are 1500, but when they are both on the table and you pick them both up, you'll know what I mean. That being said, there is nothing wrong with either of them, I just prefer the II.
 
Thanks for the speedy reply. I have just found a brand new SBE1 for sale, in left handed, for 1750. I thought is was a really great deal. That was before I did any research.

I do know that a SBE2 goes for 2200 in the left handed version. I guess Ill save my pennies and make the purchase later.
 
I own both but they are the slug versions and love the sb1 better than the sb11 reasons are simple sb2 has a zytel triger guard sb1 is metal I don't know what the poster is saying about the sb2 as slimed but the sb has a narrower profile . and your right the sb 2 has a cryo barrel wher my sb1 has a quality Hastings barrel . Also I beleive the followers are different but mine was changed to titaium spring and follower. Hold the two side by side and make your decision.dont go by one more expensive so it's got to be better they both work great. The sb2 of mine is the back up when I go hunting. If I can find another sb1 slug I would sell
my sb2 , just my prefrance
 
I did a search on the H&K I's and came up empty, is there a more specific name foe that shot gun?
