I picked this shotgun up last year and have been trying to find info on it. It's a 12 gauge 2 3/4in chamber. The barrel is marked Eaton's of Canada, and has Truline marked on it. It has a push button in front of the trigger guard for the action release. I bought it from an old guy who tells me it hasn't been fired. I don't see any evidence that is has been. The stock has a couple small handling marks on it and the bluing is near perfect. I'm guessing the gun was probably built in the 50's but that is only a guess. If anyone has info I'd be interested to find out more about it.

Shotguns sold by T Eaton Company under the TRULINE brand were made for Eaton's by the Noble Manufacturing Company, located in Haydenville, Massachusetts. Noble was in business from 1953 to 1971.

There's precious little information available for the Noble Manufacturing Company, so your quest for further information is likely to continue to be frustrating. Their products are considered to be low grade and not highly valued.

Can't see your photos yet but, based on your description, the gun appears to be in like new condition. It might have nostalgic value to a collector of Eaton's memorabilia, if such a collector exists.

ETA: I just found some information (that I can't confirm), that suggests that Hawthorne was a brand made by Colt for Sears. There's a good chance the butt plate is not original. Does close inspection of the butt plate suggest a perfect fit as would be expected from an OEM install, or does it look like it was fitted after the fact?
