I had my MKIII Hunter posted for sale for the last while, thank god it didn't sell! My girlfriend has been out to the range with me a few times before, and always gravitates to the MKIII Hunter. She likes how easy it is to shoot, and the "pretty wood grips" So, this last weeked I went out to the range with my girlfriend and another friend of mine for my birthday with a few rifles and a few handguns. My girlfriend shot the scoped .22 for a little while, then immediately wanted to shoot the Ruger when she found out I brought it. I told her that it was currently for sale, then something happend that I didn't see coming at all..... I got the stink eye! Yup, she got upset and asked me why I wanted to sell it, and said that it was her favorite gun to shoot! Well, I'm not about to argue with that! Now instead of selling the gun, I'm looking at upgrading it to keep her happy

Kinda funny how that works hey? Initially, I figured if I could just get her to accept the fact that I'm a gun nut I'd be doing good. I had to do a lot of convincing to get her out to the range the first few times. After a few trips, and when she ended up getting the hang of it, she definately doesn't mind going, expecially if we bring out a friend or two, or set up some shotgun hulls and balloons to shoot.

That is hilarious! I had the exact thing happen to me!

I had my hunter for trade in exchange for a Kadet kit when my GF found out.... well that was that and hence I still have the hunter. But it all worked out great and I put a red dot on it and having more fun with it than ever!

Have the Mark III Hunter as well and wouldn't even ponder the idea of selling it on my wife. That's the gun that started her shooting and is always her go-to gun when we're at the range. Happy wife, happy life!!

You should tell her if she gets her RPAL, you'd give/sell it to her. ;)

I'm in the same boat as Trigun. My wife wants me to sell off and end 'this silliness'.....:(

My GF's favourite is my .270 win. I wish I could get her shooting .22 lr again! $1 a round is hard on the pocket book. Only a couple more months though and shes buying me a .223 for my B-Day!

A buck a round?? I think you need to reload that sucker!:p

My GF hasn't shot my brand new .270.... yet.

Even though my GF went shooting only once with me and didn't like it, she was shocked when I told her I was thinking about selling my P226 Classic 22lr (The only recoil she could handle). I was confused; she would normally want me to get rid of all the firearms in the house?!

Maybe she'll come back with me again :D
