I'm slowly getting new equient to relpace the old cheap stuff I started shooting with and have come across this gem.
The only issue I am running into is that I have yet to see a bolt gun with one mounted. I am using a bipod that mounts to my forward swivle stud and want to mount the Atlas the same way but it seems that the Atlas only mounts to a rail.
Does anyone know how to get this to work on a swivel stud or what I need to add a small section of rail to the stock. It's a bell and carlson stock ifthat matters.

Thanks
Tim

Search the Precision Rifles Forum for "Atlas". Set the search parameters for the last year (at least).

There are at least 12 threads.

Yup what he said, including my thread.

There are rail attachments that you put onto the forestock using your two forward swivel studs, then the bipod mounts onto that.

I did a search from my iPhone but didnt come up with anything :p Hard to search properly on that thing. Thanks for the heads up guys.

my Atlas just came in and the rail I ordered with it doesn't come close to matching the 2 studs on either my McMillan A5 nor my Savage model 10 PC

Get the rail that is the same dimensions as mcmillans , directly from Kasey at accushot, I think it the 3 inch hole spacing one.

can someone link me to the proper rail for an A5??

this is the one that I ordered

This is the one you want: BT17 – 4" 1913 Rail,
Just call up Kasey and ask him to exchange it, he's a good guy.

x2

Kasey is a great guy and has some of the best customer service I've come across.

I made sure I measured my swivel studs before I ordered my rail and talked it over with Kasey to make sure I was good to go. He was helpful the entire way.

I'm building a rifle right now and will be giving Kasey another call in the near future.

I ended up going with machine screws on my Manners as the studs were too short. But if the studs are long enough you can use them just fine.

excellent, thanks.

Are you guys using your actual studs to attach the rail? or replacing those with machine head screws?

I am using screws, that way I attach my sling using the push button swivels from uncle mike that attach into the big hole in the rail. I aslo have had my rail beeded so it is a perfect fit to my stock and there is no gouging.
