Non Restricted Black rifles??

Not in your budget, but you know you want it...
(restricted version pictured, but non-res coming soon!)

Unfortunately this is well above my budget too... too bad, it sure looks cool!

There should be a sticky on this topic, probably with information about where to possibly locate rifles such as the 180B when they become available used.

Because to be honest I have never seen one, ever, but I don't know where to look. Anyone know?

Frontier has one for sale on their site, but the price they're asking is pretty high compared to what they usually go for on the EE.

On a side note, how much do mini's with the factory folders go for now?. I'v been interested in them for awhile now.

Mini-14's with a factory folder usually sell for $1200-1300 on the EE, when they come up. However, from what I've seen, factory folders tend to come up for sale more often by themselves, than on a rifle. They usually sell from anywhere between $300-500.

......that's a total rip-off price. The rifle is easily worth $500 less.

How do you figure its worth 500 less? They sold new for upwards of $1400+ tax. When i bought mine brand new 2 months ago i paid $1040 for it plus tax but my gun dealer did make off ok as it was a part of of $9000 purchase. Its all supply and demand.I just bought a running 1927 Harley Davidson for $19000 and when the restoration is done it will be worth in excess of $60000 when i find the right buyer...Am i ripping someone off too because this bike didnt even command a $1000 price tag when new.Rare usually equates a higher price tag.

I was wondering the same thing.

After a little research, and drooling over other peoples' setups, I'm liking the H&K SL8 and the Robinson XCR. Wondering if the ACR will be available in non-res when it gets here, as that looks pretty slick too.

However, the SL8 or XCR will set you back around 2k for the basics, to which you'll obviously want to add poly mags, sights etc, it adds up. No idea what the ACR will go for when (or if) it gets here, but they seem to cost around 3k in the States.

+1 for the SL8, but the pricing puts it above $2k. I'm very happy with mine.

When I first looked into getting a non-res. black gun the 180B was an option as well, but the availability of them in Canada is quite poor. Here's some pics of SL8s and mods w. the AR Magwell Adapter from NEA.

Hope this helps.

A 180b is far from a "classic". So selling it used for over $500 more than what it cost to buy new just a few years ago is a rip-off. It's just taking advantage of the market for non-restricted black rifles in Canada.
