Here is my attempt at non-restricted black rifle bliss. This is my modified AR-180b mounted with a Trijicon TR21 1.25x-4x AccuPoint. I will be adding a strap and bi-pod soon.

The trigger was polished. The rear sight was milled off and a section of rail was then sourced and fitted to the upper receiver. It lines up perfectly with the Midwest Industries rail. The scope looks like it is touching the rail, but it is not. It's just the angle of the photo. It does have a nice low profile.

The front sight was cut down, radiused and re-parked:

The front brake was turned down, then threaded to accept the PWS comp:

The Trijicon TR21 1.25x-4x AccuPoint has very clear glass and is nice and compact. No batteries are a real bonus. The reticle is very crisp and bright. The photos don't do it justice. The scope also features a pop-up, resettable pointer dial. Once sighted in you can adjust for wind and distance and return to your origional zero quickly with no tools.

4x magnification in very dim light:

1.25x magnification in 100% pitch black. The only source of illumination is tritium:

The brightness of the reticle is controlled by opening or closing the fibre optic window.

Set for full illumination (this is where I leave it at all times):

Set for half illumination:

Set for no illumination. In this mode the chevron reticle is present, but black like a traditional scope:

Quick focus eye-piece can be seen:

With no scope and magpul sights added:

Except he wouldn't have gotten all those accessories on a Swiss Arms NIB.

Just the railed foreend for a PE90 is $500ish.

thats really cool man! i think with that cost i would just get a XCR but that custom work is really cool! love it!!!!

Thanks man. Its a super fun rifle.

I am actually selling my XCR if you are a fan of them. I think the trigger is buggered because it isn't resetting properly. Make me a decent offer and my XCR is yours.

Check that any of the hairpin spring clips haven't broken and jammed up the trigger. That's what happened to mine.
