Swiss Arms Classic green brass catcher.

I don't think anyone keeps it stock, but Wolverine Supplies can probably special order one for you if you have a part number.

Hi.
Does anyone know where I can get a brass catcher for the classic green? im sure ive seen pics of one on here!
Thanks
Not sure how your German is but they have them at: ww w.gunfactory.ch

Click the picture of the pistol on the left (under the shopping cart), then under 'Langwaffen' click on 'SIG Sturmgewehre'.

From this menu click on 'Zubehör SIG' then just look in the new menus for 'Hülsenabweiser'.

You'll see the catcher/ deflector there for $52CHF, along with some other sweet goodies.

I think this would be great. The Swiss rifles are real brass chuckers.

Rdgietz, my black special throws brass about the same distance.

With respect to the brass catcher, do many people reload for the Swiss Arms as I note that it puts a pretty good dent in the casing during ejection? Does this concern many members or am just being overly concerned of reloading a dented case. I know that full length resizing staightens out most dents on the outside but fell there would be a weak spot left behind. Phil.

I never reload my SAN fired brass for that reason, it really does beat the hell out of the case. I've heard guys say that's not a big deal but I'm with you, it makes me nervous. YMMV...

Guys in the U.S. are reloading their brass from the 556, which also destroys the brass, getting 5-6 reloads with no issues that I know of to date. I don't know anyone in Canada reloading their SAN brass, I will give it a try and post results....at some point.

Thanks for all the responses guys, that was the picture I was looking for!!! I'll try and source one online. I agree, the Swiss arms hurles the brass for yards and it gets beat out of shape, it does make me question the value of reloading.
Thanks again

I have been loading for my swiss now for about 5 years.

The dented necks and dented case wall prettymuch iron out in the sizing die.
I have never had a problem with reloading fired brass from my swiss.

I am trying to reload SAN brass

HI there Phil.. I get the same issues with all the brass shot in my Classic green. I have not reloaded any but have a big collection of brass where the mouth of each cartridge is smashed flat on one side with a dent in the body of the cartridge. The mouth seems to resize properly but the dent does not resize out!!!!.. should i reload this brass? Not sure..

I might try one of these:

:p

Looks like that might interfere with the charging handle.
I gotta' agree with that, I can't see how you could mount it without the reciprocation of the charging handle fouling it up... that and the SAN would probably blow the brass right through the mesh!:p Cheap enough to try though, and you could always throw it on an AR if the SAN didn't like it.
