My first gun was a 870 super mag loved it if i hunted feilds all the time like ont,out west i would still be usin it but down here like most guys i switched to a 10.We don't get big #'s of geese here just small flocks so when i need to make a hard shot i like a big gun shootin a big load.Weather i'm chest deep in the ocean,muck or cranberry bog that gold 10 ain't failed to fire no matter what the temp.Huntin in a nor; easter in january is hard on any gun/gear but that is the best time to hunt here.

Thanks for the replies guys,i just went ahead and ordered a browning bps,3 inch chamber 26 inch tube in mossyoak duck blind.
The 3 inch pump fits me much better than the 3.5,plus i have autos to fill the 3.5 inch role if i absolutly need it for geese but i find i shoot 3 inch all the time just as effective anyway.
This gun will be used mostly for ducks in the marsh so big bangers will never really be needed for its primary intended use.
It should serve me well.
