Why the shiny grips? You can't hold a shiny grip steady in a sweaty hand. I think Paul Mauser would have known that..... have never handled one that I KNOW is that old that had shiny-new grips... and I have seen some really nice ones.

I bought one of those cases off of Ebay for $120 US. Shipping though was $60 to Canada but only $10 to the States. Super nice case. Great workmanship (recomended)

Yes, I sold the 1911 commercial one when I picked up the Red 9.

A consolidation of ammunition types on my part....

The person who bought it got about 200-ish rounds of .30 Mauser with it.

One of these days a C-96 will shuffle its way to the top of the pile of items to acquire. I'm not sure if that will be when I have some cash burning a hole in my pocket at the same time one appears on the market or when everything else on the list has been picked up!

I think probably the former. Since the list never seems to get smaller.
