I have been traveling and just received a letter from van loan and the jist of it was that RCMP are not in charge of interpreting the law but enforcing it. A classification may be given to a rifle because an importer improperly informed the RCMP when importing and later RCMP found information to the contrary and a rifle may be converted easily. Basically. The blame was on the importer and the RCMP were exonerated. I don't think much help is going to come from the conservatives on this.

to bring attention to the fact that they are a self-serving institution... and they are not acting with the public's best interest in mind. (Ever wonder how much these appeal will cost the government? How much court time will be wasted?)
