my 10.5 lmt defender arrived this week and i took it out for the first time tonight. what a sweet little unit it is. being used to my xcr it is so easy to handle
if i had a camera i would take some pics.
first time at the range wasnt as smoothe as i hoped it would be. i was shooting 55g umc 223 and 55g pmc bronze 223. i maybe got one complete mag in all night without a jam or misfeed. if i was lucky i would get two in a row then it would fail to feed. most commonly it looks like it was scrapping the case and gouging it. i tried making sure i had the magazine all the way in and it kept doing it. the guy i was shooting with had a handful of green tip 62g pmc 5.56 that I tried and that was the most success i had this evening.
could it be that the pmc bronze and remmington ammo are not hot enough to cycle the action properly or what are your guys thoughts?
overall it was fun to get out with the new toy and like anything new there are a few hickups as you learn.
