winchester SXP ?

If you have owned or shot a winchester super X pump tell me what you think, any problems, is it a good all around gun. I live in Yellowknife and there are no gun stores for me to go and see for my self so i would just like to know a bit about it befor i go wasting money.

They used to be. Now the SX is a semi auto shotgun, the SXR is a semi auto rifle and the SXP is a Turkish built pump shotgun (Yildez).

win 64 probably thinks that he does not have to elaborate. Two words 'suck' and 'experience' is all he can contribute to this thread.

The 1200/1300 was and still is a fine choice in a pump gun.

I agree, I don't like the look of the new ones, I am not a fan of the little red W's and styling. But underneath the trim the 1200/2200/1300 is a good gun.

My dad has had a 1200 for nearly 20 years without a snag, it's a much nicer action than my 870 express. As you may recall from my other thread I was thinking of buying a 1300 in 20ga.

I do not think that there are many of these guns in Canada yet. The original 1200/1300 was a very good pump gun. This is Winchester's attempt at resurection by way of a Turkish knock off. At this point, I do not think that anyone on this thread has actually used one and in any event it has not even started the test of time yet Quality or worth getting? Who knows

My Dad and I bought 1200's and had nothing but problems with them. Failure to feed, failure to fire etc, Dad got so frustrated with his he tossed it in the bush. I traded mine in for a Mod. 37 Ithaca. These are just my experiences yours may differ.
