Im wondering what mods are allowed for shooting production

I have a cz shadow with lighter springs and ss rod. grip tape and stock rubber grips.

I ask because i was told my hogue finger grips are not permitted in production.

are cz aluminum grips permitted? competition hammers? thanks!

Most factory parts are permitted. Hammer is allowed. Grips should be too but be careful with thin grips, they may be too thin for your liking.
I don't compete in IPSC in Canada (couldn't justify cost of the BB certification, I mean - c'mon, course, ammo, time spent...), USPSA allows thin or any CZ grips.
Your best bet would be to refer to the Rule Book to start with.

If CZ sells it as an optional part for your shadow, it's good. Aftermarket parts are not allowed with very limited exceptions. Aftermarket mags are ok. Any open sights are allowed provided you don't have to modify the slide to install them. Grip tape is fine so long as it's only one layer thick. Grips have to be the same profile as OEM so no, your hogue finger grooves aren't legal. CZ aluminum grips are ok.

what does it mean same profile? if I have panels on mine any panels would be OK?

I take it to mean that panels that closely replicate the originals in terms of size and coverage would be OK. So if I want to replace my stock Shadow panels with home made hardwood panels that have portions of the panels checkered by hand or inset lightly so that I can use grip tape instead of checkering that this would be OK by that rule since such panels would cover the same portion of the frame and have only minor or no difference in thickness. But the key thing would be that the outlines of any aftermarket grip panels would not extend past the stock panel dimensions.

Note that the rule specifically excludes rubber sleeves. I can easily see how Hogue wrap arounds could clearly be interpreted as half sleeves so I don't see an issue with excluding those under that appendix in the rule book.

As it happens I have no inclination to replace my stock rubber grips. I've found them to be wonderfully grippy except when they get contaminated by too much oil during handling while cleaning the gun or doing other work on it. But I restore the gripiness by just scrubbing the grip panels off the frame using straight dishwashing liquid and an old toothbrush to degrease the grips. Once the grips are well scrubbed using pure dish liquid I start adding a few drops of water to the mix and continue scrubbing. Once it's got a good froth up I turn up the water to a good trickle and keep scrubbing until all the soap is gone. Takes about 45 seconds per grip and they are sticky like glue once cleaned.
