I asked in sport/hunt shotties forum, but what da hell...

Anybody knows of an existence of 20ga tactical autoloader? I shoot Rem 870 12x3 now. Love the gun - hate the recoil. And also, apparently, not really a big fan of a pump. So, I thought to get myself a tactical autoloader. And, since I am a recoil sensitive and like to shoot A LOT, I was thinking to get that tactiauto in 20 ga...

Help me to solve this riddle. Keep in mind that I am a 5'3" female with not enough fat to absorb a 12ga recoil. So, if there are brands or recoil solutions for 12ga tactiautos - I am all ears!!!

Thanks. :runaway:

I believe there are remington semi's that are 20 gauge, I think the 11 87 is the one your looking for. As far as tactical I'm not sure but I would imagine that you could customize it if you wanted. Check the EE they usually have good deals and most of the time you can find what you want.

Just as a side note, I have a rem 1100 in 12 gauge which my mother shoots when she comes to the range. She is about 5'6 with a small frame and she handles it well. Alot of the felt recoil is reduced in a semi due to part of the gases being reused to cycle the action. But 20 is just as good so if its what you want the get it.

IIRC, there is a 20G Youth version of the 870 (shorter barrel, shorter length of pull), that comes in black/sythetic... Add some tacti-cool accessories and away you go!

Nothing - she changed her mind and wants a 12g now :D When she gets her own it'll probably be another mag-fed grizzly and she'll put a Knoxx recoil-reducer stock on hers, if anything.

yep. this is what I have on Rem 870P that I shoot. However, when I will order my new autoloader, I will install a Mesa Tactical stock with the Enidine recoil-buffer this time if I can find one in Canada. :)

Could be wrong, but you can't fit the Mesa stock adapter to an auto-loader. It has a recoil rod and spring that go in the stock.

I think if you find a 20 semi and send it to TacOrd asking for a "tactical" makeover you'll get more than what you expect... His work is impressive to say the least.
