Morpheus, you seem to think this isn't an issue because the stakeholder group is likely to stop it. That is probably true. However that doesn't excuse the ABP from any responsibility for coming up with a proposal that is a direct attack on shooters everywhere, not just hunters....

i see a third possibility,that being that there are already laws to control road hunting,and we don't need any more useless laws,that just make more responsible gun owners lawbreakers.more laws are not a viable solution.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the NRA was made aware of this,so that they could include the ABP on their list of anti gun organizations to boycott.Perhaps some lost sales in the USA would be more effective than our letters to the ABP?Perhaps the ABP should think about such possibilities before making any more proposals?

In one of my letters to the ABP I pointed out that they represent 35,000 producers, and there are 100,000 hunting licenses issued. I wonder who is going to win this one. Idiots.

I hope this boycott doesn't get to big, I can't eat that much beef myself.

Why doesn't someone start a letter or petition to this doofus Rich Smith at the Alberta Beef Producers to inform him that if he "tramples" on our lives with this stupid restriction or any such like it that we ALL will stop buying Alberta beef completely and help to run the Alberta Beef industry to their knees with a boycott. I was at the Calgary gun show this past month and I was AMAZED at how many Alberta sportsmen (and women) that were there. Easily 5,000 to 7,000 people went through those doors just the morning of the first day of the show. There has easily got to be many tens of thousands of us that are upset with this lunacy! Let's let them know how we feel.

Also, let's help solve their problem by reporting to the authorities any idiots we see that are harassing or killing ranchers livestock. It is always the few "bad apples" (AKA complete IDIOTS and LOWLIFES) that ruin it for the rest of us honest and law-abiding citizens!!

HeadDamage, I got the same "form letter" over a week ago, so did everyone else who wrote the ABP about this disgrace. The fact remains the ABP is STILL TAKING THIS FORWARD! The only way to end this is for the ABP to withdraw this motion, immediately. If they choose to take it forward, it is at their own peril.
