Rock Island armory 1911's

I have the tactical one. I got it from Arms East. Number 1 guys to deal with. I'm happy with it. From what i recall the lower frame is used on the STI spartans. Not sure what is all used. Google it and check you tube. Some guy has a good display of it. A norinco might be the way to go for price. I wanted something different and i like it. AGE
 
I've thought about importing some, but unfortunately I'm not convinced there's a market for them in Canada. Norinco seems to have a lock on the entry level 1911. I don't think it's possible to sell them at a price even close.

I haven't seen one in person though.

Hi K.O Do you plan to bring in Norinco as well, we are all can't wait for the NP-29 show up again.

outside from the U.S., Philippines is the country that are crazy about 1911, You are not considered a real gun afficionado unless you own and carry 1911 in 45
 
As said, the Philippinos are a decent bunch of God-fearing, free-voting, 1911-mad 1911 carrying firearm owners, who have been making/shooting/carrying 1911s for a long time. :) And, Armscorp does make a lot of 1911s, on modern machinery in a ISO9001 approved facility.

Of course no privately manufactured Philippino firearm will ever be as cheap as a Chinese state-owned manufacturer's product, but I do think a market exists for their guns in Canada, just as a market exists for lots of other 1911s. They stand on their own merits and price point. Customers who purchased RIA previously have asked for more. I'm happy we have them again.

Norinco is available in the Philippines as well, but Armscorp seems to compete there, and are significant sponsors of Philippino shooting sports, as well as competitors.

Due to the dollar's strength, we've managed to price RIA significantly lower than ever before, even after RIAs significant price increases over the past two years. Those who want their Norinco 1911 will buy them, those who want a RIA will (hopefully!) buy them too.

I think the Hi-Cap is worth a look for IPSC shooters who want the 10rnd internal capacity, or those already invested in the P14 platform & mags. I'm doing one with hi-viz sights, beavertail and trigger and expect good things.

They seem to be more inline with the Springfield GI, Mil-spec, Taurus PT1911 price point. You would think there is a market for such a beast. As of now we got Norc's @ $350-$400 range, and then we got the Kimbers, Colts, and Loaded Springfields at the $1000+ range. This looks like it might fit in the middle...!?!
