I see ATI dragunoff stocks for sale in CANADA, but so far haven't located a dealer carrying Choate,and you can't just go across to the US and bring one back

I talked to Choate a couple of weeks ago about a bipod mount for My Savage 10fp in the Ultimate Varmint stock. It was someting like a $10 or $12 part. They said they do not ship anything out of the Country themselves.

isn't Choate just a reseller of ATI stocks, and don't actually design or make actual stocks for the SKS platform?

Although the ones they have for some of Savage models would be nice to get if they could retrofit them to fit the SKS.

Nope, they're different companies, different stock designs.

I bought my Choate SKS Dragunov stock from P&D in Edmonton.

I have handled both the Choate and ATI Dragunov style stocks and the Choate is the better choice.

Yes they do but mine actually do fold. Conversion kit installed cost of it is 9.99+ 5.00 shipping so I think my price of 89.99 is fair.

I'll second that. I had a Choate Dragunov and it was a very well made stock which enhanced the rifle. Currently, my SKS is in the original wood, but if I ever decide to put plastic on it again, it'll be a Choate Dragunov. I don't mean to step on anyone's toes, but my experience with ATI is that they are the lowest end stocks and they hold no appeal for me at all. Choate also makes very nice 10/22 stocks.
