For me it's any of the Big cats. I have had a facination since I was little that includes books, paintings, ceramic plates, ect. I know I couldn't pull the trigger. For my old lady it's moose she just finds there size and stature majestic. She couldn't ever shoot one but she loves eating them.

I don't want this to turn into a you shouldn't hunt this or that thread. I have no problem with the hunting of the big cats or hunting of any animal I just know that's one I couldn't do.

You have any?

Anything endangered.
Protect them, and do anything possible to help their numbers grow.

I'd love to goto africa on a white rhino hunt, but lets get them off the endangered species list first, then they're fair game!

I'm not really interested in shooting whatever is at the top of the food chain. In Africa I have no desire to hunt lion, here same for Grizzly.

I find that cats and to a slightly lesser degree bears look like they have been pricked with a pin after they have been killed.

Anything I can't/won't eat...aside from Cape Buffalo...that'd be an exception...and even then the locals would eat it. Gophers are also fair game!!!

That pretty much sums up my hunting habits too. If I, or someone else is not going to eat it, I won't hunt it. "Cept gophers and coyotes.

If its legal and sustanable its fair game for hunting.

Not the topic but ok:p

Me, mainly cougars, grizz, bobcats, wolverine and wolf. I'm not hot on the taste of predators in general, find it varies. Bear I'm considering, but once again, have had direct experience with a bear that was just pretty horrible tasting, despite careful meat handling and cooking. Never come across a deer that couldn't be cooked to be palatable:p

Don't have anything against those that will hunt in a sustaineable and legal manner, just not my cup of tea.

I'm about happy with deer right now - I can take three/season, they're common, I'm just feeding myself so that about covers my needs for a while. If I get a chest freezer I might go after a bear, or if I can split up the takings between other hunters, a moose, though I do have a soft spot for them.

For me, any of the big cats are off limits. Not too sure why. However, I certainly don't begrudge those who take the legal opportunity.

only hunt what i eat 'stoped bird hunting because i through away a duck. cant understand hunting just to kill .but i have shot a coyote that was chasing deer under my tree stand.but he deserved it the little bast..

hunt ONLY what you eat !

So you don't believe in any type of predator control, herd population control, etc.?

I would probably hunt anything that reportedly tastes good. :D

I'm also in for any necessary population management. To me, hunting has TWO core purposes; sustenance, and wildlife management. However I don't condemn those who hunt for sport, just not into it myself.
