STI .22lr top ends

I am looking for a cheap way to practice my shooting and am hestitating between getting a .22LR top end for my STI or to get a ruger 22/45.

I'm asking anyone who has experience with the STI .22LR top end: How is accuracy and reliability?

I love my Kimber .22LR Conversion Kit! It's made by Ciener (shztty customer service) but at least Kimber backs them up. I bought it from The Shooting Edge, a board sponsor. Hope this helps.

I have a STI 22 kit
It works great
Have a Ruger 22 as well but the 22 conversion is fun and accurate
My conversion kit locks open on the last shot
I've heard the Kimber version does not

I use my STI conversion on a Kimber

I haven't taken the time to shoot it on a rest and compare it to the Ruger
Accuracy freestyle is quite good
At 20yd rapid fire A zone on a IPSC target is doable

Again its a fun gun to shoot

Yup, the Kimber conversion is a super little kit. Put about 2000 rounds through it in the last few monthes, and plan on using many more in it.

Have not tried it on my 40s&w yet but I'm told it will work

Sweet, please let me know. Do you have the STI top end or the Kimber ? What frame ?

got this from KIMBER. their 22lr conversion only works on 45's no other calibre. my colt is in 9mm and told it won't work. contacted STI and was told there conversion will work on my colt series 70 9mm.
