mininum velocity for a TSX??

What do you all think the mininum velocity is to get proper expansion with a TSX 165/180??


just curious for longer shots when the velocity's start dropping?
 
Here is a mule deer I took a few years ago with a 168 TSX launched out of my 30-06 @ 2900 fps. The deer was a bit over 300 yards away and impact velocity was ~ 2350 fps. This is the entry wound. I think it expanded OK. ;)

Boo, I see nothing?

Lightmag, I've read different opinions from 1600 to 2000 minimums. IMO it depends on the calibre and possibly the weight as well as speed. What are you shooting them out of?

x bolt 300 WSM, 165, 168, or 180, still see what i like best on the grain. I like the TSX's over accubond yet i'm think that an accubond would expand better at lower velocity's (long range)??
