serria game king bullets

Hi Big Bear
I have used them in a few rifles with great results,They are very accurate but do not hold together on bones etc.If they were bonded I think they would be a great bullet.

They are made to open at long ranges which is why you hear about them blowing up at shorter ranges......just match the bullet you use to your style of hunting .

Personally I would use them on Deer / lighter skinned critters...for me they shoot about the same accuracy as Partitions in the same weight (140 gr. 6.5x55) .

165gr Gamekings are the primary bullet for my 308win. Excellent results with heart/lung shots. Meat loss when you hit a shoulder - lesson learned for me.

I tried many different bullets in my 308, but it really likes the Sierras.

Good luck.

My experience is that although they are accurate, the aren't the toughest kid on the block. They work fine in standard calibers, but will often separate at magnum velocities.

I use them in my .243, .308, .30-06 for everythiing coyotes to moose. 100 to 220 gr. I used Pro hunters last year and found they retained a little more weight and didn't explode on the shoulder but penetrated a little more. I will now use ProHunters for under 200yds and Game Kings over that out to 400yds. No more 600 - 1000yd shots for me. Too old, too far to haul.

I've used them for 40 years in everything from 22 to 338 but mostly 270. I've never kept
an exact count but I've probably killed around 50 deer, moose, elk and bear with them.
They have been an excellent bullet for me in all calibres, good weight retention and
mushroom nicely. I killed one cow elk with a Partition and I'll never use them again. It
totally disentegrated. I've recovered a couple ballistic tips that I loaded for a friend and
I was impressed with them but for me Game Kings are my first choice.

I use 165gr. Gamekings in my 30-06 and they are very accurate. This past hunting season I shot a deer under 50yards and only had the opportunity to take a neck shot, and the exit hole was massive, so I guess Pathfinder is correct to say at short distances they get a bit messy.

I've used them in .277, .308, .323, .338 and .375 and they are generally my standard "go to" bullet. I have never had a problem with them and they seem to hold up well. They are also very accurate, have a high BC and are reasonably priced.

I use them all the time from 22-250 to 338 win mag they work great. For all the folks who say they explode on bone or at short distances I hope you didn't have to chase the critter to far to find that out...It's terrible to have to hold down a live critter in order to cut it open to see what your bullet did..........don't get mad it's all in fun...

while i have never yet shot an animal with them, the 180s seemed decent ish (2moa) but possibly too heavy for my 1-10 twist 30-06 barrel. im playing with some 168 matchkings and after i get all figured out ill be trying a similar weight in the gamekings for hunting season

You should be fine with 180's in 1 in 10". I shoot 210's in my 1 in 10" barrel, very accuratey.
