FNP/FNX Herstal Pistols in 9mm/40s&w - anyone interested?

I see that there are some people here that have were looking for the FNP-9/40, but due to it's 4" barrel it isn't available in Canada.

If barrels were made for this gun to make it restricted, how many people here would pick one up??

I would like to get a list going to see if this "might" be a possibility. I'm sure one of the sponsors up there would order them in and get the barrels swapped out, if there was enough demand for them.

so lets get it started, I hope we get a good response here!! :D

i would imagine this gun would be around $900, with the new barrel and all.

we need more votes - and serious buyers :D

I wonder if they could change the 12(6) part of the FA to 3.5" instead of 4" or 106mm without going through parliament.
I am sick of not being able to buy modern service handguns without the protruding barrel!

I already have the FNP-45 and would love to add the 9mm little brother to the package...it's a shame that only last month they were dumping the FNP's (9's and 40's) down south for next to nothing...(well compared to here anyhow)...

I too am sick of not being allowed by my nanny to have a barrel less than 106mm. But, that's the way it is right now :( you can thank the RCMP for the restrictions/prohibitions or firearms, they ARE trying hard to keep us safe :jerkit:

ya, I think they're going for around $500-$600, maybe less? if someone where to import them into Canada, you're probably looking at close to, if not a little more than, $1000.

Mark from Questar says that he has someone that can make the 106mm barrels for the FNP-9&40. I'm trying to get enough people together to order in a bunch of these guns. I sent FNH an email asking if the barrels for the FNP would fit the FNX model. If it does fit, then importing them shouldn't be a problem, as long as we have at least 10 people that can commit to buying.

ok, well now I get to poop on everyone's parade. The FNX model does not have the restricted length barrels being made, it's very new on the market. Who knows, we might see this gun 3-4 years from now.

Funny thought... Canada is to Firearms as some parts of europe is to music - always getting it years later than everyone else lol

sad. anyone still interested in the FNP9/40 ? still a great pistol, and I'm sure they will be a LOT cheaper!

TSE is selling the FNP-45 for $849 NIB, so I can't imagine the price of an FNP9/40 much more than that (still needs the restricted barrel).

Even less...saw them down to $385 but they are back up to the $500+ range..If you can get the FNP9 up here I'm in...

Mark @ Questar says he can definitely get them in (fnp9 and 40) - not FNX - yet), it's just a matter of how many people are actually going to commit to buy.

As per mark, we need at least 10-20 people who will buy this gun.

so looks like we are at 31 people that are interested in the FNP-9/40. now how many people can commit to buy? need about 10-20 buyers and Questar could import them with the restricted barrels. I'll try to find out how much one of these guns will cost (approx).

Definitely let us know price...but I'm thinking that rebarrel will kill it...but I'd be more inclined to go with it if we could keep the original barrel (but I suspect that's not allowed).

I don't think that the barrel is prohibited as long as it's not in the gun (someone please correct me if I'm wrong).
