Good day people. Been a lurker for years and figured I should introduce myself as I fianlly have a question worthy of this place.

I picked up a Winchester Model 94 30-30, of roughly '54 vintage in decent shape. Stock is all scratched as it was mostly stored under the seat of Ford for many years. My question is the best way to use a cable lock? Around the stock and lever? or through the reciever? The cable gets piched hard through the reciever but seems to be the best solution.

I forgot rule #1. on most forums it is anyways...

Put it through the solid part of the handle and around the stock. if its tight enough you cant lever it, job done... mostly i thing cable locks are to stop weapons from walking away innocently.

Oh sucks.... did i forget to put this down??? :p

oh and welcome from sudbury

more people from nickle city.... Welcome!
Are you a memeber of any local ranges??

No, too many pits around to practice in. However, it would probably be a good idea to get the most out of my Swedish Mauser. There is one 15min from me....
