Desert Eagle face lift?

I just noticed that the Desert Eagle got a face lift. The newest edition got a picatinny rail on the top of the slide and the slide safety is a bit smaller.

You should see the picture of their 25th anniversary edition in black and gold accents , very hot , i believe guns and ammo or handgun magazine did a review on it .

And what i found even more cool was that desert eagle got its second patent for production just a month before my birthday .

I put a small c-more STS site on my 44 mag Mk19, and this is an improvement as the one i have only has 2 slots on the BBL to mount anything. I had to modify with mount to make it fit.

yuck. +1 to the normal one looking better. this one is beginning to look a bit too much like a tacticool'd airsoft pistol.

on the BBl in front it will say the calibre, this one does not.

You are aware, I'm sure, that the part with the rail is not the slide, correct? Only the back part is the slide on DE's. Before I saw the picture, I was picturing some poor scope just getting battered all to hell and back on one mount on the very short slide. Where the rail is on the barrel would actually be a prettty good mounting spot, for a red dot of some nature.

That picture is definitely an airsoft. DE's are all steel, you can clearly see this one is plastic.

Also the take down lever is wrong. It doesnt look like that.
