FN FS2000 & IWI Tavor Comparison ***Range Report Up***

2-3" groups at 100m offhand? Wow.

{Harv bows before angryeyebrows}

I'm not worthy. I can't even do that sandbagged off a bench with these rifles.

Whoa whoa whoa! I wasn't shooting off hand and it was 100yds not meters so really only about 90m.

AND...those were the best groups outta many worse ones fired that day. So I'm still pretty amazing. I attribute my awesome skill to firing a zillion rounds both in the CF and civvy side.

Standing was always my weakest so I practiced and shot nothing but standing for a year....until I was good.

bravo, 3" 100yrds standing is fantasic! I thought you were in the prone!

A normal C7 will give about 2"-3" from the prone so am sold :)

I think both of these rifles are easier to shoot from alternate firing positions simply due to the fact that they are quite short but still have the longer barrel...almost a full length rifle barrel in a package as short as most 10.5" AR's with the stocks extended.

I was shooting the 16" AR today from the bench and the best I could get was about 1.6 inches.

And a point for those who want to set up either of those rifles with the aimpoint/magnifier, I'd try the HK height mounts or the stock Aimpoint Comp mounts. They are a bit lower then the tall versions I have pictured. Might be a better fit.

I don't know if its just me, but the Tavor and FS2000 both turn my stomach. They have got to be the most God awful ugliest rifles in the world.

Nice report and great pictures. I just can't seem to get over how ugly they are. Give me an AR any day of the week.

What he said.
I don't like the ergonomics of bullpup rifles and the mag changes are tough to master.
I'll stick with the ARs for now

I know everyone is going to bash me but I still prefer the T97 over all the 223/556 bull-up's I have ever tried. Although the best 1 ever I still believe is the P90.

Won't bash you, will cry a tear of sympathy with you though.

I like the Tavor more, but I'd buy a T97 instead just cause of price.

Do they work with LAR-15 pistol mags? or would I be limited to 5/30 pinned mags? Beautiful rifles, I'm envious.
As Angryeyebrows mentions, they work great with the Tactipul floorplate -- it really is like they were designed for each other.

I know I am dumb but I do not know how to disassemble the LAR mag . I have the Tactipul floorplate but don't know what to do. Can anyone teach me? Yeah I am very new to shooting. Thanks for everyone.
