first Precision Rifle build. (FINSHED WITH PICS UP PAGE 2)

Right, we know. Ear hole shots at some distance beyond 800 yards, but not sure how far beyond 800 yards.

Perhaps you'd like to purchase a BC bear tag and give it a whirl. I'll pay for the single cartridge required:).

Just curious if you have ever shot a high quality rifle such as an ATRS custom? Precise 800 yard shots are very, very easy to place.

here she is boys and girls.

Stock- McMillan ADJ A3-5 with integral cheek piece and hinged floorplate
Action- Remington 700xcr
Cal- 338. win mag
Barrel- Remington 26" stainless (free floated)
Scope/Base/Rings- Bushnell 6500 elite tactical 4.5x16 / 20MOA EGW base/ 30mm EGW low profile Rings
Bipod- Harris 1A2 6"x9"
Work- Barrel has been threaded for a brake and re-crowned with a target crown, glass beading, Accurizing and over sized bolt knob.

P.S Please no barking about the non target barrel. it will come soon enough ok?:nest:

Nice looking rig BTW. The stainless action is a plus if you like shooting in the bush.

As for the barrel, shoot it first. Some Remmy barrels shoot really well. If it does not shoot to your liking, then swap it out and true the action, but only if you really think the barrel is the limiter. Assuming that you had to trek somewhere to get those photos, a heavier barrel will probably not be your friend anyway.

Now colour me stupid, but how do you plan on having a heavy barrel in a narrow-profiled stock? ;)

In any case, looks good!

I just heard that they make this new stuff that when you rub it on something it grinds away the material you are rubbing it on! It comes in these sheets like paper. I cant remember what they call it though. Beach paper or something like that. Don't know where you would find it though?
