Wow, you guys are way south! Or else I would beg you to show me how properly to shoot shotgun, lol!

Thanks again!
ps can't wait for those darn license to get approved. d:h:

Where are you? I'm sure there will be some CGN members that are not too far away that would be happy to help you out and maybe even let you try a few different shotguns in the process.

Good luck with the waiting! Savor the anticipation while you still can... because one you're licensed anticipation will be very quickly replaced with immediate gratification! :runaway:

A strap would slow you down for tac loading. My from buddy who came back from Afghanistan, to my buddy in the York Region PD, to me and my cousin at Brinks, NO ONE uses a strap on the fore end...ever.

Who sells them? How hard it will be to install it myself? I know that Mossberg has some tactical models with strap forend but I do not want to limit myself to those models/make.

If you like the strap set up and feel it helps you get one, I've have one on one of my mossbergs ,its like you said, and it looks to be easy enough to do, the strap itself is 8 1/2" long and 1 1/2 wide, and secured by 4 ...I'm thinking their metal screws as they have a finer thread on them, screw them into the thickest part of the slide handle, so about a 1 1/2" from the front and 1" from the back, also use some small plastic washers between the strap and screws.

something else you might consider is the Ergo surestop tactical rail hand stop , check their website, with 2 of thses it'd be like a strap, and you can size it to your hand easly ,but you'd need a rail forend of some kind.

Very interesting! Looks good too! I like their three rail forend! It can be used to mount whatever, not only forend strap! I also liked the idea of the rail hand stop better than a strap. Less limiting!
Thank you so much for info!:)

I use my CAA railed forend without covers no problem at all but mine has plastic not metal rails so probably not as sharp as they could be. That said if you get a shotgun you can fit a Knoxx recoil reducing stock on you probably won't need a strap at all.
