AR-15 Dlask-Socom 7.5" in 5.56mm
This is a nifty little 7.5" AR shorty put together over the past few months. It's completely configured with a
ton of hard-to-find (and sometimes damn near impossible!) options... full specs and more photos down.

Some of the components are not necessarily rare on their own, but combined with the unobtanium elements
(especially the ones near impossible to import!) and you have a fairly serious undertaking. Hope you enjoy!

:ar15:

Special thanks to Joeseph @Dlask for the "Mini Moose", Steyr101 and FrankieT.

Damn that looks nice. I like the XTM rails mixed with the clips. The optics look way too big for the gun, lol.

Another nice build.

Thanks man! I tried a Docter Optic and it looked incredibly tiny; an EOTech 512 (larger than the Reflex) and EOTech XPS-2 (not bad). I think the best setup would probably be an Aimpoint T-1 on a LaRue HK mount for a nice co-witness with the MBUS (although I do have co-witness with the Reflex and Magpul MBUS). The Trijicon is really nice from a 'no batteries' standpoint, though.

Nice setup.
Where did you get that BCM CH?

Thanks. I found it on the EE. Like alexD92 indicated, they show up every now and then; like him I also tried the Mod 3 and Mod 4 and preferred the smaller latch on the Mod 4 as well. I also like the PRI Gasbuster; even though I'm not a left, I really like the new ACLM ambi charging handles (put one on my SR-15 to complete the full ambi setup).

How much for the barrel and gas tube?

I bought the upper as a complete unit from Dlask; I'm not sure if Joe sells the barrels and gas tubes separately (the complete uppers list for $1,200, which is a really good price considering it includes the free-floating quad rail, 7.5" or 8.5" barrel, compensator, bolt/carrier group as well as a PRI Gasbuster charging handle).

how much $$$$$$$$$$$ ???????????????????????????

How much did I sink into it or am I selling it? Well over $3k (which isn't hard once you start adding up accessories and optics); haven't decided if this is a keeper or if it'll go up on the EE at some point.

A muzzle break on a 7.5? I would ditch the brake and get a PWS CQB instead. Even a regular A2 on a 7.5 is way to loud.
