I picked up this older break action pellet rife. Came with an old tin box of 22 cal pellets. So I assumed it was 22 cal and bought some hollow point 22 cal for it.

Well the 22 cal are to tight to fit, (only go in partially) and 177 just fall through. I see in the wholesale spring catalogue 20 cal pellets? I have never heard of a 20 cal airgun.

Are there 20 cal break action pellet rifles?? It would appear mine is.

20 cal pellets

It was either Sheridan or Benjamin that made (make?) a .20 cal pellet rifle. If I'm not mistaken it was called the Blue Streak.

It should say somewhere on the barrel as to caliber. The cylinder shaped pells in .20 cal made for sheridan/Benjamin guns don't shoot worth a $hit in regular .20 cal breakbarrels.Mail order is the best bet Specialty Shooting Sports or D+L Airguns both in BC..............I don't think you could cram a .22 pellet in a .20 barrel with your fingers? Harold

Thanks guys. Gun is up at the cabin.

I didn't see anything on the barrel, for make etc. I will pull the stock and take a closer look.

Thanks on the info as to where to get pellets, I check the gun first for make etc, before I buy anymore pellets.

If I remember right, the 20cal pellets were longer than 177 and 22, and shaped like pointed drums? Also called 5mm.

Those are for Benji/Sheridan guns....................RWS,H+N and JSB all make .20 caliber dome shaped pellets.......................Beeman sold H+N under their handle......Harold great caliber pellet availability not.........like the 5mm Rem mag rimfire failed because it was ahead of it's time......

They were never any good in my Sheridan Blue Streak either. You could watch them spiral out of the barrel on a sunny day. I suspect the twist rate is too slow for them. As mbogo says there are quite a few H&N 20cal pellets sold under the Beeman name and Crosman makes some very good ones as well.

Had a Sheridan Pump 20 cal when I was a kid. Awesome rilfle!
Had to get pellets from Specialty Gus in Victoria BC.

20 cal

I bought 20 cal pellets for my Blue Streak at Whoesale Sports in Nanaimo last year. It is a very accurate and deadly rifle. I never pump it more than 4 times.
