HI,
I just bought Browning Citori fixed chock shotgun. I did not receive it yet, but I have already started thinking about retrofitting screw chocks.
My actual question is whether or not the retrofit compromise durability of the barrels and what roughly is cost of the service? Any other concerns that I should scale before going ahead?
Best regards,
SG.

Choke. I think you'd be looking at $250 - $350 to tap for 2 screw in chokes, if the barrel is thick enough to accept the tap. You would probably also want to get the forcing cones reamed at the same time.

Most citori guns have enough barrel meat to thread chokes. More important is to get someone reputable to do the job. There seem to be more bad jobs out there than good ones. A good place to start or a bench mark in the business is Briley.
